Of course, I'm hoping that the VCP guys are monitoring the gradual adoption of Fusion by more and more AE users, and will consider releasing Fusion-compatible versions of their plugins like they have done for Nuke, but I am curious as to what I can expect to find in Fusion that will make my transition smoother?įusions 3d renderer can do nearly all of the effects that you can see in Element3D. Lastly, I find Trapcode Form to be intriguing for certain types of effects, does Fusion have a similar function? I'm a big fan of some of the CC plugins in AE, like CC Vector Blur, is there a vector blur in Fusion? I am also very dependent on AE's motion-blur plugin (similar to RSMB), does Fusion have a similar type of function for simulating camera blur to CGI animation and other moving elements? In some cases, the movement is almost imperceptible, but it does add an extra layer of realism, particularly in fully CGI scenes.
Is there a VCP Twitch-like solution in Fusion? I use twitch to create some drastic camera bumps/earthquake effects, but I also use it as a much more subtle slightly-unsteady cameraman type of effect. I love VCP Optical Flares, is there a good flare solution in Fusion? How do you guys handle flares? I love Element 3D for its simplicity and speed, I fear that one will be a though one to get over, unless Fusion has its own version? Any options? One of my biggest potential issues is about how much will I miss some of the Video Copilot and other AE plugins that I use on a regular basis.
